DESCRIPTION OF 5 DAY OVERNIGHT CAMPS
Sand and Surf Cape Cod
You will explore the ever-changing barrier beaches and islands of Cape Code. You will paddle along the beautiful beaches at Monomoy Island, Nauset Inlet and Pleasant Bay. You will view an abundance of shore birds and hopefully spot a group of seals playing in the surf or basking in the sun. Most of the paddling is across sandy flats flooded with crystal clear waters rushing in from the Atlantic. If conditions are favorable we will have the opportunity to spend some time playing in the surf. Each day will find us in a different area with different tidal conditions; all areas are sheltered from the heavy surf. We will be camping in Roland C. Nickerson State Park located in Brewster MA.
Paddling the Wilds of Lake Umbagog
This trip takes you to the North Country to explore the beautiful and remote Lake Umbagog. Located in northern New Hampshire and western Maine Lake Umbagog is noted for its abundance of wildlife and beautiful sunsets.
The trip begins on a wide quiet section of the Magallowy River and enters the lake at Leonard Pond. From here we paddle the length of the lake exploring remote islands and coves by day and enjoying wilderness campsites and moonlight paddles by night.
Paddling Squam Lake
This Trip takes the paddlers past the site where the movie On Golden Pond was filmed and includes a stop on Moon or Bowman Island for lunch and a swim. Squam is noted for its clean clear water, undeveloped shorelines, uninhabited island, and its population of Common Loons.
